On this episode of Soccer 2 the MAX, Sean Garmer, Erik Watkins, and Rachael McKriger have plenty to discuss on the eve of American soccer getting back into full swing.
They begin by giving some relaxed thoughts on the USSF Presidential Election. After that, they transition into talking about the NASL canceling their season. Does this mean the league's entire viability is in jeopardy? Was this really about the lawsuit? Or did NASL dig their own grave with this?
The trio also talks about the season-ending ACL injury to Jordan Morris. Rachael talks about how big of a loss it is for the Seattle Sounders, as they are about to embark on yet another MLS season. Then, they cover MLS Live merging into ESPN Plus and changes coming to the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup too.
Finally, they discuss the NWSL Season schedule and preview the 2018 SheBelieves Cup. Why does Rachael feel the U.S. Women's National Team may not come away winners this year either? And are there some problems with the roster? Lastly, they get into the discussion on the latest concerning the 2026 World Cup bid. Could North America really lose out to Morocco?

On this week's episode of Last Word SC, Matt Pollard sits down with our very own Philadelphia Union beat writer, Matt McCarthy. The Matts talk all things Alejandro Bedoya: why he came back, why the Union are the perfect fit, and how he's the No. 8 the Union's 4-2-3-1 needs. They also discuss a few of the other trades Philly has made, the youth movement, and Matt M. waxes poetic about Earnie "The Orchestrater" Stewart.
In the second segment Matt is joined by Steve Brisendine of MLSSoccer.com to talk about Sporting KC getting back into their groove. Steve shares some thoughts from Benny Feilhaber about how the club has turned things around and used their depth. We get an update on Matt Besler's recovery and the nonsense that is the Dom Dwyer to Greece rumor. Steve then gives his take on SKC's tough CCL draw and what it will take for them to advance and still make the MLS Cup playoffs.
In the round table, Matt goes solo asking the question "is D.C. United going to be fun now?" Matt also gives a little preview of the Olympics and why he's a little burned out from this Super Summer of Soccer.
This is a jam packed show. Share it with your friend from Philly, then go stuff your face with a Philly Cheese steak. Or some burnt ends from Oklahoma Joe's. Or whatever new fad diet those nonexistent LAFC fans have come up with in the last 5 minutes.

What's up MLS Fam? Matt is joined by LWSC Quakes Writer Daniel Sperry to break down the MLS All Star game and the entire All Star Week in San Jose. Dan waxes poetic about Avaya Stadium and the growth of the game in San Jose and the Bay Area. The two break down the game and how wide open and fun it was. We were kinda bumbed the All Stars lost.
The lads then talk all things San Jose Earthquakes. Dan gives his take on the Quakes midfield, specifically the Panamaniacs. They talk David Bingham and the defensive issues. Dan and Matt then make some bold playoff predictions for San Jose and do some score predictions for the weekend fixtures.
Still got your adrenaline up from the match? Listen to this to relive the week and the game. Oh, and send it to your coworker from Seattle to help them forget about Sigi leaving.

This week we're joined by ESPN's Caught Offside host JJ Devaney to talk Liverpool and all sorts of Premier League news.
Liverpool blew three points against Southampton. Leicester kept the lead, again. Arsenal actually gained points! Manchester City dropped points in the Manchester Derby. How MLS is this Premier League season?
Can West Ham grab a Champions League position? What is Leicester going to be like in the Champions League? How is this new TV deal money going to impact the teams next season? Is Marcus Rashford for real or will he fade away?
This weekend is an international break with Leicester's Danny Drinkwater getting a call up for England. What other international games should we watch to hold us over until the Premier League returns?
