The show starts this week with a nod to the nice guys. As Ronaldo emerged as the most "liked" footballer on Facebook following the release of his film, the boys pick out and discuss the game's real good eggs.
Next, Allcott revels in Chelsea's woes in roundup of the weekend, whilst Irwin hits back, defends Chelsea, and promises a backlash from the boys in blue.
Ever thought of something that would make the game better for you? "Footballing inventions" was next up on the show with a brainstorm of (now patented) gadgets that will revolutionise the game. A machine that holds your drink when you celebrate and decision making robots are coming soon to a stadium near you.
Craig's question talks about favourite types of goal, whilst offside touches on banned substances and something we never want to see in the game, mashed potato.
Jurgen Klopp and Sam Allardyce made their season debut's this past weekend, and we're debuting our first guest of the year. Dave Hendrick, from Anfield Index's podcast "Happy Hour," joins Treble Radio this week to talk about Liverpool's new manager. He tells us what he thought of Klopp's debut, Liverpool's future with Klopp, and more. Plus, does he think Klopp's high energy tactics will be a problem for a team that's fairly injury prone. We spend far too much time talking about Big Sam's debut as Sunderland manager, that is to say, we mention it.
The big debate this week is Mesut Ozil vs Juan Mata. Who is the better player and who would you rather have in your side? The answers may surprise you.
Join Arslan, Laura, and Eric every week as we discuss the latest in Premier League happenings.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Laura was trained from birth to be a Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan. Unlike most Huskers, her dad played soccer and introduced her to that sport as well, which understandably stole her heart. Laura’s love for the Spice Girls and Harry Potter carried her love for soccer across the Atlantic to a team not unlike her Huskers, Manchester United. They were once great and believe they can be again, but it hasn’t really happened yet. Laura is also a fan of the MLS team Sporting Kansas City.
Eric Walcott is a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives by day, and a soccer fan 24/7. He’s played soccer his whole life and now covers MLS, Portland Timbers, and Arsenal for LWOS. Eric helped start the supporters group Sons of Ransom for NPSL club Lansing United because there’s nothing quite like standing in the crowd and supporting your local team every weekend. 4th place might not be a trophy, but THE FA CUP SURELY IS!
Treble Radio host, Arslan Siddiqui, is a Canadian who does not speak many languages, but he has definitely specialized in the language of the beautiful game. When his grasp of the language isn’t strong enough, he (tries) to substitute it with comedy. He is a Liverpool fan who started the ‘Anfield Alive’ column on Last Word On Sports, where he provides commentary and opinion on everything Liverpool and Premier League related. A university student and a young adult, he promises to provide entertainment and (a little bit of) knowledge!
