Treble Radio: St. Totteringham Day Comes Again & Previews

May 17th, 2016

Happy St. Totteringham's Day? In what should have been an historic run for Tottenham Hotspur, they still managed to finish below Arsenal on the last day of the season.

Manchester United's season isn't over yet due to a bomb scare that hasn't quite been cleared up. They won't be able to get top four, but they still have the FA Cup to play for.

Newcastle have been relegated, but will they also be out a manager? Everton have said goodbye to Roberto Martinez and who is left out there to replace him? Ronald Koeman?? What sort of managers will we see next season?

The Champions League, Europa League, and FA Cup finals are approaching. How will each team stack up with silverware on the line?

The season's at the end, but we will never run out of premier league stories to discuss.

Treble Radio: Post North London Derby & Newcastle Debacle

March 9th, 2016

Arslan & Eric discussed the result of the North London Derby, the disappointment that Arsenal fans must be feeling and the missed opportunity for Spurs.

Further along, Everton seem to be conceding leads weekly, with former Norwich striker Chris Sutton calling Roberto Martinez "a joke". Are Everton a joke? Is Martinez destined to be sacked this summer?

The highlight of the night has to be Aslan's epic rant on Newcastle's loyal fans and what they have to put up with. Will the possible sacking of Steve McClaren fix anything?

All that and more at TrebleRadio. Tune in.

Treble Radio: North London Derby Preview and Catching Up on the Premier League

March 3rd, 2016

With four days of premier league action, there are a lot of stories to talk about.  With all these games, you'd think there'd be a little shakeup at the top of the table, but Leicester still sit at the peak.

Manchester City have won the Capital One Cup with a surprising hero in Willy Caballero. It wasn't the best cup final, but Liverpool's comeback to spend it to extra time and penalties was rousing.

The other side of Manchester put out a line-up of misfit toys against Arsenal earlier Sunday, and those misfits played beautiful soccer.  Their performance was so brilliant even Louis Van Gaal himself got out of his seat and fell to the floor.

Dan Riccio from Toronto radio Sportsnet Fan590 joins us to talk about some big questions including, but not limited to, where is the leadership at Arsenal and who is going to win the league? Does Arsene Wenger have what it takes to push this club to the next level?

In MLS, D.C. United players had their phones and some cash stolen after a CONCACAF Champions League game.  This begs the question, which footballers phone would you steal?

Looking ahead, the games look good this weekend.  The North London Derby is happening and will Spurs bounce back from their recent defeat? Will Arsenal bounce back from their recent strings of defeat? Is Watford going to be an easy win for league leading Leicester City? Which Newcastle is going to show up against Bournemouth? Can Stoke repeat their last performance against Chelsea?

Treble Radio: Capital One Cup Final Preview, Plus Arsenal vs United and UCL

February 25th, 2016

It seems like there aren't many Premier League stories this week. Which is odd, because the FA Cup happened this weekend. Maybe Manuel Pellegrini had more impact on that feeling that we'd like to think.

Arsenal started their routine of being knocked out of the Champions League with a 2-0 loss to Barcelona. Are they choking?

Chelsea destroyed a team of Manchester City kids. What does that mean for Gus Hiddink? What does it say about City under Pellegrini?

Speaking of being destroyed, Aston Villa were destroyed by their own u21 side over the weekend. How does that even happen? What does that say about the future for Villa?

Liverpool have a chance at a trophy this upcoming weekend against Man City. Will Pellegrini take this seriously or not?

The big game of the weekend has to be Arsenal at Manchester United. Just how many problems do United have to solve? Will Arsenal start their run for the title at Old Trafford?

Treble Radio Premier League Preview: Top of the Table Clashes

February 11th, 2016
There are some apparent ground breaking premier league stories this week, and we dive right into them.
What is up with this Jose Mourinho taking the Manchester United job this summer business? Would this be a good deal or bad deal? Is it really necessary to sack Louis van Gaal?
Pep Guardiola if officially going to Manchester City. We all know that, but what does it mean for City players? Really, how great would a Manchester derby be?
Liverpool and ownership made headlines by freezing ticket prices after a massive fan protest, and they aren't the only club to do so. Ticket prices aside, there are still other problems at the club.
With the league officially dropping the "Barclays," they've unveiled their new logo. Was it necessary? How controversial is it?
Top of the table teams clash this weekend and we start previews with Leicester and Arsenal. Can Leicester increase their lead? Can Tottenham pull a Leicester and rip Man City's defense apart? Just how scrappy will the Crystal Palace and Watford match-up be? The bottom of the table bash of Chelsea and Newcastle rounds out our show this week. Who will come out on top?

Treble Radio: Premier League Stories and Debates 1/28/16

January 29th, 2016

A lot has been happening this Premier League transfer window. We start this show with a roundup of our predictions for last weekends games.

Exactly how many things did Arsenal do wrong against Chelsea? Did Stoke blow it or is Leicester back? How great/not so great are we at these predictions?

We spend more time on major and not major news stories.

How good of a signing is Pato for Chelsea? What about Matt Miazga? Did Jose Mourinho really right a six page letter to Manchester United?

What are the benefits (if any) of Tim Howard joining the Colorado Rapids? Alex Teixeira to Liverpool? Andros Townsend to Newcastle?

How are league leading Leicester doing this window? What does this mean for their future?

Is Kevin de Bruyne's injury devastating for Manchester City? How about Jan Vertonghen's for Tottenham?

Dele Alli is shining, but how bright will he get? How have Spurs done with signings and what does the future hold for them?

We wrap up with our games to watch this FA Cup weekend.

Treble Radio: Premier League Weekend Review and Transfer Round-Up

January 19th, 2016

It was a busy weekend in the Premier League. Leicester got back on top alone for a while before Arsenal joined them, continuing their good form.

Chelsea got away with robbery after a late offside goal, sharing a point with Everton.

Liverpool yet again lost points to Manchester United. Did they really deserve the full three points, though?

Further down the table, Swansea successfully battled Watford for a 1-0 result. What's going on at Watford? Will Swansea stay up with the help of their new manager?

January transfer business is in full swing and we take a look at some of the top headlines so far with Mignolet getting an extension at LFC and Charlie Austin coming back to the league with Southampton. And what is going on with Adebayor?

Treble Radio: Arsenal vs Liverpool and United’s Attack Shows Up

January 14th, 2016
This is the best week of soccer/football. FA Cup, midweek league games, and weekend league games. There's so much but of course we have to begin with Arsenal's draw with Liverpool. Which team really dropped points?
Leicester played Tottenham for the second time in three days. If that was any indication of how their FA Cup replay will be in six days, I'm calling in sick to work (maybe not).
Manchester United played attacking football! Will it continue?
We take a brief look at some of the January transfer business, there hasn't been much, look at some headlines and then head to predictions for the weekend.
This week we look ahead to Chelsea vs Everton, Liverpool vs United, and Swansea vs Watford.

Treble Radio: Big Questions in the Premier League in 2016

January 6th, 2016
It's been a long break but we're back! I know, we're excited, too.
We briefly touch on the fixtures we missed while busy with family and such before diving into the big stories.
What exactly is the deal with Tony Pulis and Jurgen Klopp? Should Louis van Gaal be sacked? If so, who replaces him? Do Tottenham make it to the Champions League? Can Leicester make it to the Champions League? What does it take to run a successful team in the long term?
With tons of FA Cup action this weekend, we each picked a game to watch as well as highlighting some other potentially interesting ones.
