Following the win against DC United, Patrick Vieira gave the NYCFC players a few days off. It would seem that only a couple of them returned from their hiatus ready. NYCFC went into Gillette Stadium on Saturday and played one of their worst games in the team’s history.
Luckily for the Blue City Radio listeners two great guests join the show this week and neither is here to discuss #NEvNYC. First Greg Lalas, a co-founder of Kicking and Screening and Digital Editor for MLSSoccer.com tells us everything we need to know about the 8th Annual Kicking and Screening Filmfest which kicks off tonight, Tuesday, September 13 at 7pm at Scandanavia House.
Following that conversation, Mike interviews NYCFC Youth Technical Director, Rodrigo Marion to get an update on NYCFC’s Academy teams and the other programs NYCFC has in place for youth development.

It doesn't always have to be pretty, sometimes it just has to work. Patrick Vieira has spent most of his time as head coach at NYCFC introducing his style and philosophy to his team. Sometimes it yielded great results and others embarrassing defeats. During last week's DC United game Vieira moved away from his static MO and make quicker, more humble decisions leading to an electric victory. Those three points against DC put NYCFC back on top of the Eastern Conference.
In this week's episode hosts, Mike Anderer and Jon Sauerschell break down the good and the bad from this game. They are also joined by Sirius XM host and analyst for ESPN and RSL, Brian Dunseth. Brian joins the show to give his unique perspective on Kreis, Vieira and NYCFC.
