What's up Internt? This week on Last Word SC Radio, we've got a bunch of talking points on Soccer in America. Let's get to it.
In the first segment, Matt and Robert sit down and recap the hot mess that was the United States Men's National Team this week. We discuss the loss to Costa Rica and the draw at Honduras. The guys look ahead to the October fixtures and make the argument that everything is going to be ok. Seriously guys, chill. Just win the Panama game.
Then Dan hops on to talk about the 41 cities listed to be part of the joint bid for the 2026 World Cup. The guys talk about the cities/stadiums included. We talk about which Canadian and Mexican venues could make the final cut. We provide some predictions for which American venues could host the final few games.
In the Round Table, Matt McCarthy has some firey opinions on the NASL getting denied Division II status. They guys discuss what this means for the league and the USL's bid as well.
We finish the episode off with some Weekend Pick 'Ems of the nationally televised weekend games.

First the guys recap the MLS Game of the Year candidates from this past weekend. We talk Portland Timbers and FC Dallas playing to a 2-2 draw. Then we talk the epic comeback by the Seattle Sounders to draw the New England Revolution.
In the Round Table, we throw out a few ideas for what US Soccer could do with the apparent $100 million surplace they've got. We finish off with a full weekend Pick 'Em.

This week on Last Word Soccer Club Radio we talk with USL President Jake Edwards and Gavin Ewbank of The Mane Land.
First Matt Pollard sits down with Gavin Ewbank to talk about Orlando City SC's brand new stadium and Sunday's win over New York City FC. Gavin talks about how amazing the new venue is and the win. The guy discuss injury concerns with Kaka and Cyle Larin both with hamstring issues. Gavin gives his take on Orlando's rebuilding of the back line. The guys also talk about the big picture and Jason Kreis's plan for City in the long term.
In the secod block Joe Hojnacki is lucky enough to sit down with the USL President, Jake Edwards. The two discuss the USL gaining second division status. President Edwards discusses expansion, both at the USL and MLS level. He gives his hopeful vision for the future of the USL. He and Joe also discuss the future of USL stadium development.
In the Round Table, Matt and Joe discuss U.S. Soccer's new National Anthem policy. The guys talk about the expansion teams making their debut in Major League Soccer. Lastly, we do a full weekend prediction.

Happy Inauguration Week (kind of?) fam. This week on Last Word SC, Matt Pollard is joined by Joe Hojnacki and Joe Goldstein.
In the first segment, Matt and Joe Goldstein discuss all things New York Red Bulls. Matt and Joe discuss the trade of Dax McCarty to the Chicago Fire. They talk about the timing of the move, who could step in for him, and what RBNY could do with the money.
Then Joe Hojnacki joins the desk and we talk about all things MLS SuperDraft. They guys review the highlights of the draft and talk about what the teams they cover did in the draft.
In the Round Table, we talk about the Chargers moving to LA and playing at the StubHub Center. The guys try and play the positive side of the story. Matt rants about how the Chargers didn't have any other options playing in LA. The guys do the schedule math to show the Galaxy and Chargers can be roommates without football lines on the Galaxy's pitch.
Then the guys talk about the USL AND the NASL getting Provisional Division II status and how it isn't really resolving any issues. Lastly, the guys go back and forth on FIFA going to a 48 team World Cup and how it affects CONCACAF.

Happy New Year internet! This week on Last Word Soccer Club Radio, Matt Pollard and Joe Hojnacki are doing a full break down of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft!
In segment one, Matt is joined by Benny Lefortune to talk about the draft from a player's prespective. Benny plays college soccer at St. John's University. He talks about how seriously players are taking the combine and what to look for in later rounds now that MLS teams have USL affiliates. Matt and Benny break down the Generation Adidas players and talk about who they think the future stars are.
In the second stanza, Matt is joined by Jeff Reuter of FiftyFive.One to talk about Minnesota United FC's draft prosects. Jeff gives his take on the team's off-season so far and Adrian Heath's style of play. The two go back and forth on Minnesota having the first overall pick and wheter it will be UCLA's Abu Danladi or Duke's Jeremy Ebobisse.
In the Round Table, Joe jumps in. The guys talk briefly on Bob Bradley getting sacked and whether it was fair or not. We do an indepth break down of Bruce Arena's USMNT roster for January Camp. The guys finish off with some rants about the SuperDraft.

Ding dong, the Witch is dead! Hey fam, this is Last Word SC Radio coming at you with a mid-week pod special. Today, Matt Pollard, Joe Hojnacki, and Dan Sperry break down the firing of Jurgen Klinsmann.
We talk about what did Klinsmann in and what went into the decision. The guys discuss what this means for Sunil Gulati's future and legacy with the U.S. Soccer Federation. We discuss what's gone wrong for the U.S. Men's National Team under Klinsmann and what needs to change for the program to progress.
The guys do a Roses and Thorns on the Klinsmann Era. Good news, there is hope for the future, #StanfordMessi and #TenaciousP and all.
The lads then go into the inevitable appointment of Bruce Arena. We discuss what the play for January Camp 2017 will be and what the team might look like for the rest of the Hexagonal.
Lastly, the boys talk about what the LA Galaxy should do with Arena leaving (hint: Sigi Schmidt). We also make predictions for leg one of the playoff games. Oh, and Dan totally tolls Matt over what's happening to the Galaxy.

In segment one, we have Guillermo Rivera of Fire Confidential on to talk all things Chicago Fire. They talk about the relief of getting a road win and the direction the club is going for the future. Guillermo promptly squashes Matt's hype train of #FireMakeThePlayoffs2016. They do talk about youth development and possible DP signings. Bastian Schweinsteiger as a box-to-box midfielder?
In segment two, Matt brings back an old friend and former co-host, Roger Cleaves. Matt and Rog break down what's been cooking up in Seattle and how Nicholas Lodero has revolutionized the Sounders. They boys talk Cascadia and Ozzie Alonso being a bull in a China Shop. Lastly, Rog gives his take on what the Sounders must do to make the playoffs.
In the Round Table, Matt goes solo to talk about Hope Solo and Richard Chaplow getting suspended for saying bad things.

On this week's episode of Last Word SC, Matt Pollard sits down with our very own Philadelphia Union beat writer, Matt McCarthy. The Matts talk all things Alejandro Bedoya: why he came back, why the Union are the perfect fit, and how he's the No. 8 the Union's 4-2-3-1 needs. They also discuss a few of the other trades Philly has made, the youth movement, and Matt M. waxes poetic about Earnie "The Orchestrater" Stewart.
In the second segment Matt is joined by Steve Brisendine of MLSSoccer.com to talk about Sporting KC getting back into their groove. Steve shares some thoughts from Benny Feilhaber about how the club has turned things around and used their depth. We get an update on Matt Besler's recovery and the nonsense that is the Dom Dwyer to Greece rumor. Steve then gives his take on SKC's tough CCL draw and what it will take for them to advance and still make the MLS Cup playoffs.
In the round table, Matt goes solo asking the question "is D.C. United going to be fun now?" Matt also gives a little preview of the Olympics and why he's a little burned out from this Super Summer of Soccer.

They talk about Seattle's tailspin, what went wrong, and what that means for Sigi Schmid's future with the club. The lads then discuss Jason Kreis taking over as Orlando City's head coach and how he'll mold them. Ty then goes off on how the young Americans Abroad are back and ready to make some noise once the European leagues kick off.
Finally, Matt and Ty do a full breakdown of the clash between Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas and make weekend predictions.
