Hey y'all! Thank God it's Friday! Last Word SC Radio is back and we're doing a full break down of the current state of the MLS Cup Playoffs.
Matt Pollard and Joe Hojnacki discuss the Knockout Round matches. We break down why Toronto FC are flying high into Sunday's match and why Philadelphia Union fans shouldn't be too down on themselves. Matt goes off on how the LA Galaxy and Colorado Rapids could play to a dead stale mate on Sunday. Joe questions the long term vision for Real Salt Lake now that they're old and getting older.
The guys discuss what went wrong with D.C. United but why the future is bright for Ben Olsen and company. Matt and Joe discuss how Montreal Impact have done a really good job handling #DrogbaGate and why their midfield and back line decisions have worked (despite being really unconventional). The lads then talk about the officiating hodgepodge that was Seattle Sounders vs. Sporting KC.
Matt and Joe then do predictions for leg one of the Conference Semifinals. They give their takes on what Houston Dynamo hiring Wilmer Cabrera meas for the club. Oh, and we rehash the inevitable doom of the NASL.
Send this pod to your friend getting ready for Super Soccer Sunday to get ready. Or troll your NASL fan friends with it. Hate mail can be directed to email@example.com. Come at us, bruh.

Honestly, the trip to DC could be one of the worse moments in NYCFC history. The fans suffered distress as issues with the bus caused some fans a delay over 10 hours. The players were chastised by their coach for a lack of effort, and the icing on the cake, one player was accused of yelling a homophobic slur at a ball boy.
Jon and Mike bring all the news, criticism and concerns about the DC fiasco.
In the second segment, DJ Mode joins the show to discuss the song, We Are One that he produced for NYCFC and talk about his work with the club.
Lastly, the guys look ahead at this Sunday and Decision Day.

Greetings fellow hoot owls! This week on Last Word SC Radio, Matt Pollard and Joe Hojnacki have a Last Word SC #AfterDark episode. We talk about CONCACAF, Bob Bradley's new resume booster, and MLS playoff madness.
First off, the lads talk about CONCACAF's plan to get their stuff together. We're talking a potential renaming (does anyone really remember what CONCACAF stands for anyways?), as well as a changing of the World Cup and CCL format. Matt and Joe discuss the pros and cons. They spitball some ideas for how they could change things up. CCL group stage with four teams each? Having the entire tournament in the same calendar year? Plus, who knows how WCQ could change. Especially if FIFA decides to expand the World Cup beyond 32 teams.
Then the guys discuss Bob Bradley getting his Swan on. If you haven't heard, Bradley is the new coach at Swansea City. The guys discuss how huge this is for American Soccer and why they think he will succeed there. Most importantly, just don't get relegated. This is a YUGE change for American Soccer to show England and Europe that their players and coaches are undervalued. Go get 'em Bob.
Lastly, the boys review the USMNT friendlies, midweek MLS matches, and talk about the MLS Cup Playoff Wildcard race.
This episode is crazy, just like MLS and CONCACAF.
